Animal Feed
Vidyan actively collaborates in the development of sustainable solutions for improving feed productivity, taking into account rising population, changing consumption patterns and land scarcity.
Evolving demand for feed...
associated with different food cultures, demand for healthier, more nutritious diets, is changing the way animal proteins are grown, distributed and developed. It is expected that the world will have to produce substantially more food, including meats (poultry/swine/beef) and fish by 2050. The key challenge here is the ability of the industry to meet this demand.
Our Solution
Our affiliates have developed an array of technologies for the production of various types of animal feed using a combination of biological, engineering and chemical innovations.
Oligosaccharides...
as nutritional additives are known to improve bovine/porcine gastrointestinal health and feed conversion in poultry birds. Oligos also have anti-bacterial properties, that are used during aquaculture. Vidyan offers a continuous and cost effective process for the production of oligosaccharides which can be utilised as feed additives and nutritional supplements for animals.
Microalgae
Consumer awareness and a growing preference for lean protein has led to a significant growth in aquaculture over the last decade. This has consequently led to an unfeasible increase in fish meal prices. Vidyan’s affiliates have developed specially acclimatized microalgae with high productivities and greater product quality that are safe for use as fish and shrimp feed.
